Quickscale 3.8.5

Quickscale Editor's Review

QuickScale is a pictures resize application.

QuickScale can resize the pictures by percent, height and width. It doesn't have any option for preserving size proportionality but it does the job without "asking" it. In my test I found the application to be a resource consuming type. I had to wait a few moments for the files to be indexed without any conversion. The resizing works also with "png" files that contain transparency.

For saving the resized files you have the minimum options like "replace originals" or "custom location" with "original or custom name". The supported file types are: 'jpg', 'png', 'tiff' and ''gif'. No "bmp" file type available. In the menu under "image" I found 'flipping' and 'rotating' options.

Pluses: resizes the files without any proportionality problem.

Drawbacks / flaws: slow, when compared with other resizing software.

In conclusion: QuickScale will resize any picture you need without any problems or having to set up a lot of options for one simple task. You can also try some freeware resizing applications such as ResizeIt ,iResizer and Resize'Em All.
